In the world we live in, humans experience a wide range of emotions—some good, some bad. These emotions often trigger memories of the past, sometimes leading to despair. The way people interact with others varies; some are violent, while others are kind, courageous, and caring.
The Romano family was well-known in Italy, feared by those who lived in the city. They were ruthless and brutal, eliminating anyone who crossed their path or posed a threat to their family.
The Romano family consisted of Mr. Luca and Mrs. Mia Romano and their four sons: Dante, Emiliano, Drake, and Lorenzo. Luca Romano was the ex-capo of the Italian mafia, and his legacy was passed on to Dante, his eldest son. Now, Dante serves as both capo and CEO of Romano Tech, while his brothers assist him in various capacities within the mafia. Emiliano owns a law firm, Drake is the mafia doctor, and Lorenzo is both an infamous assassin and a skilled hacker.
Luca and Mia lived with their children in a grand mansion. However, after their sons married into allied mafia families, they decided to take control of those families, as their allies had only daughters to inherit their legacies. This led the Romano sons to move out and live independently, though they remained close and supported each other in times of crisis. Emiliano became the leader of the American mafia and married Scarlette, while Drake took over the Spanish mafia and wed Luciana.
Everything was going well for the Romano family, both in business and in the mafia world. Dante had started his own family, as had his brothers. The Romano family had a history of seven generations of male heirs, and they longed for a daughter. However, destiny was beyond their control. When Amelia, Dante's wife, became pregnant again after having seven sons, hope arose that this time they would finally have a girl. Dante and Amelia chose to keep the baby’s gender a secret, and during their third ultrasound, they discovered they were expecting twins.
Excitement filled the Romano household. Amelia was seven months along when, unexpectedly, she went into early labor. The doctors assured them it was normal, and the entire Romano family gathered to welcome the new additions. Hours later, Amelia gave birth to a baby girl and a baby boy. Dante was overjoyed as he informed his family of the twins' arrival. Celebration erupted within the Romano mansion. The doctors informed Dante that Amelia would be discharged the next day, so the family returned home to make preparations for the babies' welcome.
That night, while Amelia and Dante slept in the hospital room with their newborns, a chilling silence fell over the corridor. The guards stationed outside their room were suddenly and swiftly eliminated. The sound of bodies hitting the floor alerted Dante, who woke immediately. Checking on his wife and children, he found them sound asleep. Suddenly, masked assailants barged into the room. Dante fought fiercely to protect his family, but he was outnumbered. The attackers sprayed gas into the air, rendering him unconscious. Wearing protective masks, they stole the twins and escaped through the hospital’s back exit.
As they reached the parking area, the leader of the group received a call from their boss.
“Throw the babies somewhere to die,” the voice on the line commanded. “I want the Romanos to suffer for losing their most precious assets, just as I did when they killed my father. But I won’t give them the mercy of a quick death.”
The men hesitated before agreeing. One of them volunteered to dispose of the babies in a secluded area. Driving to a deserted neighborhood, he found a garbage dump and, under the cover of darkness, hid the infants among the trash before driving away.
In mere moments, the Romano family had lost their most cherished treasures.
